Enjoy the spirit of the season... Join us for a Holiday Open House - an alpaca visit, shopping, and holiday cheer!
A fun event for the whole family! We'll be offering free visits with the alpacas from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm - no charge and no appointment needed - just stop by! The alpacas will be happy to greet you. Our charming shop will be open and filled with holiday goodies! Featuring a variety of unique gifts including one-of-a-kind handmade items using fibers grown here on Whidbey Island. We'll be offering special pricing on some items, free gift wrapping, as well as 'pick-up-later' and mailing options in the event you don't want to take your purchase home with you immediately.
Have a cup of hot apple cider and enjoy the shop, while others in your group enjoy a visit with the alpacas.
We are participating! With the gift giving season here, we hope you will consider shopping small and locally. As a small, family-operated business, we truly appreciate your support! Our newly renovated shop offers a wide variety of gifts in a comfortable and unique setting. We will be offering special pricing on some items, free gift wrapping, as well as 'pick-up-later' and mailing options in the event you don't want to take your purchase home with you immediately. All that, and easy parking, too! Have a cup of hot apple cider and enjoy the shop, while others in your group enjoy a fence-line visit with the alpacas.
October is a busy month! We will not be able to offer a FREE farm visit weekend this month, so you may want to join us in September for National Alpaca Farm days, or contact us to schedule a private/paid visit during the month of October.
This is a 2-day fiber event held at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, WA. If you are interested in any type of natural fiber, you will want to add this event to your calendar!
There will be all types of fiber-related vendors, classes, free demonstrations and educational exhibits, a fiber arts show, live fiber animal exhibits, fleece shows and sale, used equipment sale, a spin-in and much more.
In addition to having a vendor booth at Fiber Fusion, we are very involved with the planning of the actual event, so we will have the Farm & Store closed for the weekend. You can find us selling our wares in our vendor booth there. If you attend, be sure to look us up!
Three full days of workshops and classes; sheep and Angora goat shows that emphasize the beautiful fibers these animals produce, an alpaca exhibit, as well as a vendor marketplace, fleece show and sale, fiber arts show and other competitions, educational talks and demonstrations! The 44th annual Gathering takes place at the Linn County Expo Center in Albany, Oregon.
We are thrilled to be vending in the alpaca barn at this fantastic event! Look for us in the 'Cascade Building'!
June is shaping up to be a busy month! We will probably not be able to offer a free farm visit weekend this month, so you may want to take a look at our May or July offerings. We will, of course, still be scheduling paid visits by appointment when we can during the month of June.
We are in the process of planning the February class and could use your help… At this point, we have decided that it will be a project-based knitting class, but we have not yet determined the project, technique, or even skill level. We hope to make those decisions based on your feedback! We invite you to complete our brief survey.
With the renovation of our little shop, we now have the space to conduct classes! We are thrilled to be able to offer our very first class in January.
We will be making ‘Knitted Knockers’ for charity and learning some new techniques at the same time! This will be a fun and informal class as we get to know one another, knit for a purpose, and have fun.
We’ll start at 10:00 am and have 2 hours of knitting instruction with Sherie Wells to get our projects on our double pointed needles and off to a great start. After that it will be a relaxed session to finish our knockers up! Stay as long as you like! It usually takes about 3 hours to complete a knocker. From a learning perspective, the focus will be getting started on double-pointed needles. If you have never knit on double pointed needles, this is a fun and easy project to get you started. We'll cast on, and work on increases and decreases on our dpn's.
We will collect finished knockers at the end of February to send to the Knitted Knockers Foundation in Bellingham.
Cost: $20 (payable at class check-in on Sunday) - includes materials (1 skein Bellatrista Milk Yarn which is enough for 4 Knockers), pattern and instruction, and light refreshments. Payment is NOT required with pre-registration.
Due to size constraints of the shop, there are limited seats available. Please pre-register for this session to guarantee space. Drop-ins welcome on Sunday if space allows! If you would like to drop-in on Sunday, please call or text 425-879-1165 to assure that we have a seat available. Pre-register by clicking on the button below...
